We invite you to experience the joy of Christ in our diocese, which spans 226 miles covering the counties of Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. There are 102 churches and chapels stretching from the Holy Family parish in Penwith, (that includes Penzance, St Ives, Hayle and the Isles of Scilly), in the west, to parts of Bournemouth in the east. An added bonus to my work at Plymouth has been getting to know children, their families, Church School teachers, Board of Christian Education members and so many Plymouth members who have offered to help with child and family programming! Guided by the living Word of God, we nurture one another through worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship. One of the latter, the Torquay Mission who bought a redundant Methodist church and are thus able to operate outside the Plymouth Diocese, illustrates very well the point I am making.
