Wendy Bell is a popular Pittsburgh news anchor, attaining immense popularity among the people for her anchoring skills. Due to her controversial post on Facebook about the local mass shooting in Wikinsburg, Wendy was fired from the WTAE-TV. It was on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report. Despite this, people supported her, even creating a Facebook page for commenting against the incident.

Born in 21st March, 1981, she is of American nationality and belongs to the white background. She completed her education from the University of Mississippi and University of Colorado. Later on, Wendy received her graduation in 2003 with B.A. in English and Minor History.

Wendy has been working with WTAE-TV since 1998 as an evening anchor at 17.00, 17.50 and 23.00 hour news sections. Before working with the WTAE-TV, Wendy worked as the reporter for the American Journal, a nationally syndicate show at KSDK-TV which is nestled in St. Louis.

Wendy Bell has also won the Emmy Award 21 times, along with two Edward R. Murrow Awards and also a National Headliner, thus winning the first place for expose on airline tickets prices. Wendy Bell posted a comment on her Facebook page about the March 9 shooting in Wilkinsburg in which five women and an unborn child were dead. The Facebook post raised a huge wave of complaints in which some called the post being racist whereas other supported the post. After being fired, Wendy posted an apology with regards to the comment made. After this incident, the supporters of Wendy Bell boycotted the WTAE and urged on bringing her back to the station.

House

Wendy Bell lives with her family in a well decorated and renovated Point Breeze home. The house has been carefully renovated which, according to Wendy, is all for her sons. Comprising of a 1200 sq. ft addition, the house has been renovated with steel, glass, stone and wood. The house was originally built in the year 1980. The main idea behind the massive renovation was to make it comfortable for the boys.

The kitchen is beautifully decorated with a mosaic backsplash and patterned floor of hardwood and black onyx. The entire house is emulated with the use of pops of colors, along with glossy finish, textured wallpapers and various other additions. The exterior of the house is beautifully decorated with few patio spaces as well as a large level yard.
