Hrithik Roshan – Know Him Better!

Hrithik Roshan is a popular Indian film actor. He has set up a lucrative career in Bollywood. Hrithik has achieved six Filmfare Awards, and has been regarded as one of the most attractive male superstar of India.

Early life and background

He was born on 10th Janurary in the year 1974 in Mumbai, India, to a family of cinema personalities. His mother, actress Pinky Roshan,  is the daughter of director and producer named  J. Om Prakash, while his father, director Rakesh Roshan is the son of music director Roshan. Hrithik’s uncle Rajesh Roshan is popular as a music director. He also  has an elder sister named Sunaina. He is also known by his nickname Duggu.

Hrithik received his former education from  the Bombay Scottish School. After that, he attended Sydenham College in order to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

Hrithik stated that his childhood was troubled because of stammering which surfaced when he was around six years old, in an interview. He started practicing speech therapies on a daily basis to get rid of this disorder.

Career achievements

Roshan made small appearances as a child actor in several movies throughout the 1980’s. But he made his first debut as a leading role in his father’s romantic thriller Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in the year 2000. Hrithik received Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut for his brilliant performance in that film.  In 2000, he also  acted as the male protagonist in movies like Mission Kashmir and Fiza .

In the year 2001, Hrithik appeared in the blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, along with popular celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Sharukh Khan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.

After several less remarkable performances, Hrithik starred in the blockbusters Koi Mil Gaya and its sequel Krrish. Both of the Films garnered him numerous awards,  including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Hrithik Roshan received his third Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in the action film Dhoom 2 (2006). He received his next Filmfare Award for the film named Jodha Akbar (2008). The film also garnered him Best Actor honors at the Golden Minbar International Film Festival.

Hrithik’s other Filmfare nomination  receiving  movies include Guzaarish, the super hit movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Agneepath and the superhero adventure Krrish 3.

Hrithik Roshan will feature in  Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama Mohenjo Daro for which he will be paid US$7.4 million.

Besides being one of the  highest-paid actors of Bollywood, Hrithik also  made his debut as a playback singer in his movie  Kites (2010).  He is  eminent as an amazing stage performer.  Hrithik also endorses several major international and national brands. Hrithik has also introduced his own clothing line named “HRx”.

Relationship and personal life

Hrithik married Sussanne Khan, who is the daughter of actor Sanjay Khan. Hrithik and Sussanne grew up among the same circle of friends. The couple is blessed with two sons named Hrehaan  and Hridhaan .

In the year 2013, Hrithik declared that they have decided to end their 17-year-long relationship. He announced the split by himself on social media. In the year 2014,  their divorce was concluded by the Bandra family court in Mumbai in the year 2014.

Hrithik Roshan  has a vestigial thumb on his right hand.

Kangana Ranaut Controversy

He and actress Kangna Ranaut have  been in the headlines for quite some time now. Kangna avoided naming Hrithik in her quote though it was clear that she was pointing at the actor being her ex.   Hrithik reacted to this quote  and sent a notice through his lawyer accusing her of denigration. He  asked Kangna to apologize for spoiling his reputation via the ‘silly ex’ quote. Hrithik also threatened to sue her for defamation if she didn’t comply.

Accordingly, Kangna sent a legal notice to him via her lawyer accusing him of bullying. Kangana stated that she has not named Hrithik anywhere. So this cannot be regarded as a case of denigration.
